Inscribe

"Inscribe" is an ongoing creative collaboration between Andrea Zachrich and Blake Simpson. We chose phrases, quotes, and lyrics that are meaningful to us and paired them with landscape photographs. I have always attempted to use photography as an expressive art that doesn’t seek to objectively document a scene or event, but instead tells a personal story or expresses a personal emotion. This project seeks to emphasize some of the thoughts behind the photos and add another dimension of expression and inspiration. All words were handwritten on paper by Andrea, scanned, and digitally placed onto Blake’s photographs.
